制服向上委員会（略称：SKi）
「歌える場所があればどこへでも」の精神でライブとボランティアを中心に活動。
1992年秋、"清く正しく美しく"をモットーにグループ結成。毎月開催する「制服の日」コンサートを中心に毎年、学校の先生方を招いて行なわれる"制服ファッション・ショー"やモーツァルトの"ドン・ジョヴァンニ"、ヴェルディの"アイーダ"等のミュージカル公演をプロデュース。1995年に独自のレコード会社をスタートさせ、現在までにグループ、ユニット、ソロを含め58枚のCDアルバムをリリース。1997年より「協力して下さる多くの方の善意に責任を持って」をコンセプトに「SKi基金」を設立し、児童養護施設や福祉施設を始め、熱帯森林保護団体(RFJ)、アムネスティ・インターナショナル日本支部、ベトナムの平和村（注１）に基金より一部を贈呈。現在までに実施した社会活動は「いじめ追放のデモ行進」「携帯電話の使用規制」、渋谷区の「ポイ捨て禁止キャンペーン」、新宿区の「歩行喫煙禁止キャンペーン」「ストーカー法施行署名運動」、日比谷野外音楽堂での「イラク戦争反対集会」、東京大学弥生講堂にて「市民立法で守る野生生物」シンポジウムへの出演、参加、等の他マナーの悪い自転車のルール作りを訴える。
2011年6月に初披露した「ダッ！ダッ！脱・原発の歌」（注2）が、YouTubeで大反響を呼び、制服向上委員会は脱原発の想いを抱く全国の方々の注目を集める。その後、会長の橋本美香と共に6万人が集った9.19「さようなら原発1000万人アクション」2012年1月「脱原発世界会議」他、様々な脱原発アクションに参加。2019年“不登校”という言葉で傷つく子どもたちを救おうと、不登校に変わる新ネーミングを！プロジェクトを実施、“スクール・ノマド（略してスクノマ）”を発表。今後も“脱原発”“親の幼児虐待”“米軍基地はいらない”“憲法9条”“世界禁煙デー”他をテーマに社会派アイドルとして、普通の女の子として、メッセージを発信して行きます。 2022年12月現在

私たちは活動コンセプトにより、地球環境にふさわしくない広告(CM、イベント他)には一切出演致しません。
グループでは「売れる」事でなく、自分に合った道を探す事を目的としています。
従って「誰かの心に輝く存在」としてのアイドルを追求します。
The SKi: its history and activities so far
The SKi stands for, in Japanese, "Seifuku Kojo Iinkai" which literally means Better School Uniform Project. Using the same acronym, we call our group as "the Sympathy Keeping Institution" in English. We believe this name, admittedly a Japanised English, shows the gist of our group's underlying philosophy.
The SKi was established in 1992 with slogans such as "Pure, Just and Beautiful" and "Love, Courage and Compassion". Main activities of the group have been live performances and volunteer activities.
We founded the SKi for two reasons. First, we would like to inform Japanese high school community the need to renew their school uniforms. Installation of air-conditioning in many high schools meant that old-style uniforms had become redundant, too warm in winter but too cold in summer especially for girls.
Second, we would like to fire a warning shot across Japanese entertainment industry's entrenched sexism and misogyny. Since the 1980s, many TV comedy programmes contained degrading sketches in which young girls were mocked, slapped their head and dragged by their hair by male comedians. These girls' burning desire to be famous TV personalities was exploited by the industry. Many of these girls were mentally as well as physically spent beyond exhaustion, chewed up and disappeared into oblivion. In order to make people realise this horrific exploitation and ring alarm bells against this entrenched sexism and misogyny, we have set up the SKi, written and composed vast numbers of songs in various genres and actively participated in many social and political issues.

We made a point via this song that we must be careful what we say to others. We might be hurting others even if we have no intention.
3 The Black Eyes
(黒い瞳／Kuroi Hitomi) We organised a fact-finding tour (with the support and participation of the SKi fan club) to the Peace Village in Vietnam where the victims of Agent Orange are housed and cared. The members were able to see the devastation caused by Agent Orange first hand. After returning to Japan we organised symposia and exhibitions.
4 Got to Do Something
(何かのために／Nanikanotameni) This is a song for institutionalised children. We also organised a bus tour for the children living in children's home to go to and enjoy hot springs.
5 End Smoking in Public Areas
（歩行喫煙禁止／Hokoukitsuenkinshi） As many Japanese still smoke in public places even on very crowded streets, many of us have had horror experiences to get burns to skin and clothes. We felt this must be stopped and thus organised "Clean-up Shinjuku" campaign.
6 Disagree? Agree? Acid Rain
（賛成？反対？酸性Uhoo（雨）！／Sansei Hantai Sanseiu） Nuclear tests in China and India since the 1960s resulted in acid rain which killed large ancient trees and triggered outbreak of hay fever of epidemic proportion in Japan. We organised fact-finding tours around Mt Fuji and other places and appealed to the public to end nuclear tests.
7 Stop! Stop! Stop!
(STOP!STOP!STOP!) Every year, there are more than 30,000 cases of suicide in Japan. Some of them are children and youths. This song is dedicated to them and also appealed to them with following messages: "Please share with your feelings with others. You don't have to suffer by yourself. And please do think for a moment about children who had to die young because of illness despite their wish to live longer life and cherish the day".
8 Wave Your Handkerchief
(クルクル・ハンカチーフ／Kuru kuru Hankachifu) Elite athletes often say "we are aiming only for the top" or "the only colour of medal that matters is gold". However, we reckon participation, processes, efforts and friendship do matter more than winning or losing.
9 The Kayapo
(カヤポ／Kayapo) English musician Sting started things rolling for the conservation of the Amazonian rainforests and protection of native peoples' ways of life. A Japanese NPO, Rainforest Foundation Japan (RFJ), is doing a fantastic job in Japan for this cause. We made this song of, and for, the Kayapo people of the Amazon Basin to support the RFJ's activities.

10 Bye-Bye Television
（TVにさようなら／Televini Sayounara） Manufacturers would like to convince us that a larger and more sophisticated prism television set brings brighter future and thus encourage us to buy new one. The government's policy to switch off analogue waves was to actively aid and abet the industry. However, isn't it a dangerous idea to prioritise economic development at the expense of other important issues?

11 Love the Earth
（地球に愛を／Chikyuni Aiwo） Human's greed has brought us destruction of mother nature. However, mother nature's power is such that it would be us humans which would eventually be destroyed.
So, we've got to live with, and within the limit of, the earth.

（ ダッ！ダッ！脱・原発の歌／Da Da Datsugenpatsuno Uta） Immediately after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, many government officials and TEPCO executives were reported to get their family members out of the Tokyo area for safety while ministers were telling ordinary people "there is no immediate adverse effect".
This is a song of our rage towards such evil and hypocritical act by the government as well as informing the public the horror of nuclear accident.

Run SKi, Run!
（走れ！走れ！SKi／Hashire Hashire Esukeai） In a historical dramas and fantasies, heroes such as Robin Hood or Scarlet Pimpernel defeat the evil, help the poor and save the world. In reality, there are no such heroes and we are on our own.
Other activities
Live performances: We perform live concerts at least once a month. The December 2014 live was our 512th live concert.
Volunteer activities: We regularly visit children's homes for those without parent or those with disabilities. We sing our songs, give some presents and share a good time.
Social/political events: We have been invited to socio-political events and rallies such as anti-nuclear power, anti-war, anti-tobacco, promotion of human rights, defence of Japan's peace constitution, abolition of capital punishment, preservation of the eco-system in general and the Amazonian rainforest in particular to name a few.
Music CDs: We've issued 55 titles during past 23 years. We have more than 1300 repertoires. As well as our original songs, we have covered songs from jazz, rock music, country & western and blues.
SKi Foundation: Established in 1997, our fans and supporters have made donations so that we can organise visits to children's homes as well as nuclear refugees from the Fukushima disaster.
1992年に「清く正しく美しく」「愛と勇気と思いやり」をモットーに結成。
LIVEとボランティアを中心に活動を始めた。
グループ結成の背景は主に二つで、一つは冷暖房が完備された教室では古い制服では夏は寒く冬は暑く、時代にそぐわない事を学校関係者に知らせ、制服のリニューアルを提唱する事。もう一つは、日本で長く続く女性蔑視に対し、警鐘を発信する事です。「アイドルになりたい」「TVに出たい」と安易な夢を抱く多くの女の子が、お笑いタレントに頭を殴られ、蹴られ、髪を引っ張られるシーンが80年代から横行し、結果、芸能関係者にお金や身も心も弄ばれ消えていく構造が出来上がっていました。

この２つを発信する為に多くの歌を作り行動を起こし現在に至る。

９、「カヤポ」
→イギリスの歌手スティングが始めた、アマゾンの熱帯森林を守り、そこで暮らすネイティブ
の生活を保護する運動を、日本のNPO"Rainforest Japan"が引き継いでいますが、
その運動をお手伝いする為に作った曲。

制服向上委員会のその他活動は

2018年3月で第536回目となります。
・ ボランティア…親の都合で捨てられた子供や交通遺児の施設並び
重度の障がい者の方が暮らす施設他定期的に訪問し、
歌やケーキのプレゼントをしています。
・ 各種イベント…原発反対、憲法を守ろう、人権を守ろう、
アマゾンの熱帯森林を守ろう、冤罪事件、
動物の生態系を守ろう、他多くに参加。
・ CDリリース…現在までに56タイトルでオリジナルから
JAZZ、ROCK、カントリー、ブルース他のカバーも
多く取り入れています。
SKi基金…1997年に「善意ある方の気持ちに責任を持って」のコンセプトで作った独自の基金。
各地の施設を訪ね、歌と基金の一部をプレゼントしている。
